Injury Updates aren’t looking good for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Things aren’t looking good for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers injury-wise as the team prepares to head up to Soldier Field to take on the Chicago Bears.

The Buccaneers, who improved to 3-1 on the season with a come-from-behind victory against the Chargers on Sunday, will take on the Bears in a Thursday night matchup that is slated to kickoff at 8:20 p.m.

Though the Bucs are flying high after the victory that keeps them in first place, they very well could be coming down to earth with the latest injury update.

Following Monday’s practice, here’s a look at the injury report:

Just so you’re keeping count at home: That’s Mike Evans, Leonard Fournette, Chris Godwin, Rob Gronkowski, O.J. Howard, Jason Pierre-Paul and Scotty Miller- all basically starters- who did not participate or were limited in participation on Monday.

That’s quite the list.

At this point, the Buccaneers’ estimated injury report lists Evans, Fournette, Godwin and Miller all out for Thursday’s game. Bruce Arians said he doesn’t see any way that Fournette will be able to play on Thursday and it’s looking bleak that Godwin will be ready to go either after being out Sunday with that hamstring injury.

The more you look at this injury report, the more you realize how banged up this team is. Mike Evans played through his pain and was definitely not at 100 percent on Sunday and the Bucs could very well be without him now.

Even if some of these guys are able to suit up, we shouldn’t expect that they’ll be at 100 percent for the game.

The good news? The Bears have an injury report that’s almost as long as Tampa Bay’s. This should be a fun one.
