Tampa Bay Buccaneers listed as slight favorites on the road against Chicago Bears

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are listed as slight favorites as they prepare for their Thursday night matchup against the Chicago Bears.

The Buccaneers- who improved to 3-1 on the season with a come-from-behind victory over the Chargers this past weekend- are listed as 5.5-point favorites over the Bears as the two teams prepare to take on each other on a short week.

Chicago dropped its first game of the season this past weekend in a 19-11 loss to the Indianapolis Colts and will be looking to turn things around as they play another game at home.

The Buccaneers should be favored, but this one won’t be easy

There’s no doubt that the Buccaneers should be favored coming into this one, but the injuries that have mounted against this team will certainly making winning the game a little tougher.

Tampa Bay could potentially be without several key players including Chris Godwin, Leonard Fournette, Mike Evans and others. TE O.J. Howard will be out for the season with a ruptured Achilles, which will certainly be a big loss for this offense that can use as many weapons as it can get its hand on.

When you add all those injuries together with a short game on the road, it’s clear that this matchup presents plenty of challenges on its own no matter the opponent. The good news is that the Bears don’t have an explosive offense by any means and that should give the Bucs an opportunity to get things going and win this one in the second half once players are able to get comfortable in their own roles.
