The Buccaneers were off to a hot start at the beginning of the 2020 NFL season, but it may be time to sound the alarm bells in Tampa Bay.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are coming off of one of the most painful losses in recent seasons. The Bucs have lost plenty of games over the years, but this one has ramifications that go deeper than most people think.

It may be easy to write this game off as a very close loss on the road to a team that was also three and one, but the Bucs had no business losing that game. The Bears had not inspired as much confidence as Tampa Bay up until that point, but this loss shows some glaring deficiencies in the Buccaneer game plan.

During a regular season, a loss like this may even inspire confidence in the team. The Bears are far from a bad team, and the Bucs are up and comers in almost every way, meaning a close loss would show growth.

Unfortunately for Tampa Bay, this is not an average season, and a loss like this is unacceptable. The Bucs have a tough stretch of games coming up with the likes of Green Bay and Kansas City soon, so every win counts.

The season isn’t over for Tampa Bay yet, but it is certainly time to take an honest look in the mirror and make the required adjustments if this team wants to live up to its potential.
