The Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost an ugly game to the Chicago Bears and have a difficult matchup upcoming

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were defeated by the Chicago Bears this past Thursday night and, as a result, fell to 3-2 on the season.

Now, Buccaneers fans are currently in a waiting period as they patiently long for Tampa Bay to return to action (we’re a week away now) so they can get the taste of defeat out of their mouths.

But what about the obvious issues that have presented themselves from this Buccaneers team? Has panic set in at all within the fan base?

Assessing the Panic Meter for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers heading into Week 6

There are some reasons that we could see why Bucs fans might be panicking a little bit:

  • Season-ending injuries to Vita Vea and O.J. Howard (both of which were starters)
  • There’s still a ton of guys banged up, especially on the offensive side of the ball.
  • The offense has been extremely inconsistent
  • The play-calling has not been great at times.
  • The offensive line just gave up three sacks and allowed eight QB hits against the Bears.
  • Tom Brady has shown greatness at times, but his age is still showing.

If you’re going to lose a game to the Bears, you’re not going to beat teams like the Packers or Chiefs.

That being said, where should the panic meter really be after five games? It’s okay if you have a little panic, but it’s still way too early in the season to be full-on hitting the panic button. This team still has time to develop and has shown flashes of greatness. They just have to put it all together.

Next. Vita Vea injury leaves a glaring hole in the middle. dark

But we certainly won’t say that we’re not worried at all.
