While he isn’t tied for the lead in any NFL categories like Davis, Ronald Jones is playing at an insane level for Buccaneer running backs. Tampa Bay’s run game has fallen short in the past, and Jones has the unit improving each time he takes the field.

Jones has faltered heavily in the passing game with numerous drops, but he has taken massive steps forward as a runner.

Between the tackles, Jones has shown a revamped ability to shed tackles and make defenders miss. RoJo is currently one of the best runners in the league after contact, and he has made something out of nothing several times when the play-calling has been suspect.

Falling in at seventh-place in the league for rushing, Jones has 359 rushing yards on 4.9 yards per carry, a personal best during a season. Jones likely won’t lead the league in rushing, but being in the competition as one of the top backs in the league is a new occurrence for Jones and the Bucs.

The improvements continue to trend up for RoJo, and the stats point to the Buccaneers having their first 1,000-yard rusher in a season this year if they can maintain their run game and Jones can continue making the most of his opportunities.
