4 biggest takeaways for the Buccaneers after statement win
By Rob Leeds
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers pulled off a significant win versus the Green Bay Packers, and these takeaways have substantial future implications.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers dominated the Green Bay Packers in their week six matchup. Yes, this may sound like a surprise, but the Buccaneers were able to easily dismantle one of the best teams in the NFL on both sides of the ball.
The surprise is not that Tampa Bay won, as wins were expected for this season, but Tampa Bay has done very little to prove its status as a contender. The matchups with the Carolina Panthers and the Denver Broncos were a little too close for comfort, and the loss against the Chicago Bears was too much to overlook.
While the season wasn’t over at that point, the Buccaneers had much to prove for the remainder of their year. The Packers weren’t going to be a pushover, at least, that wasn’t the initial expectation.
The Buccaneers convincingly defeated the Packers, and now the rest of the season is looking up. Tampa Bay is now four and two and in a prime position to make the playoffs.
Here are the biggest takeaways from the matchup with implications for the rest of the season.
