The Tampa Bay Buccaneers flipped the script on the season with a win against the Green Bay Packers

Things were beginning to look a little bleak after an ugly loss against the Chicago Bears, but the Tampa Bay Buccaneers flipped the script with a big-time victory this past weekend.

The Buccaneers entered this past weekend with a matchup against the NFC’s best Green Bay Packers in a game in which they were the underdog.

Following that loss to the Bears, there were many Buccaneers fans who were just about ready to push the panic button and there was no doubt stepping into the Packers game that it was in ‘must-win’ territory for Tampa Bay.

After a first quarter that saw the Bucs trailing 10-0, there were plenty more fans beginning to believe that this team was just like years past and that the Buccaneers simply couldn’t get out of their own way. The script was already written.

But that’s when things changed.

A 28-point second quarter set the Bucs in motion for a big-time 38-10 win over the Green Bay Packers, keeping Tampa in first-place in the NFC South Division and giving the team seemingly new life heading into the rest of the 2020 season.

This is a win that won’t soon be forgotten by Buccaneers fans

It’s one thing to win a big game. It’s another thing to completely dominate an opponent that we’re almost sure will be competing deep in the playoffs. That’s exactly what the Bucs did.

This team could’ve backed down. The moment- though it’s still early on- could’ve been too much. Instead, they battled back and put themselves in position for success moving forward.

This game wasn’t about a simple win. It was about the course of the rest of the season.

A loss Sunday puts the Bucs at 3-3 facing a decently-tough stretch over the next few weeks. But the win set them apart. It kept the team in first-place and now changes the entire trajectory of the season.

There’s momentum with this team that wasn’t existent before. More so than that, there’s a confidence and leadership within this group that we haven’t seen in quite some time with this franchise.

dark. Next. Bucs absolutely dominated the Packers

That was on display Sunday afternoon and it will continue to be showcased as this season progresses.
