As previously mentioned, Ross won’t have the opportunity to be one of the top options in Tampa Bay, but that could actually be good for him. While Ross wouldn’t play a significant role for the Bucs, his role would be bigger than on the Bengals, and lower pressure could finally allow for development.

Ross would quickly become one of the best WR4s or WR5s in the NFL and would be an additional piece for defenses to gameplan around. Ross, Scotty Miller, and Justin Watson all have incredible speed, and Tampa Bay could start to develop a Kansas City-inspired persona with some of their receivers.

Ross could also solve some of the Buccaneer special teams issues with some practice. While he hasn’t been a returner in the NFL, Ross still has the potential to be the elite special teams player that he was in college.

Cyril Grayson and Jaydon Mickens have played decently in the returner roles, but Ross could improve if he gets the correct coaching and become a more efficient use of a roster spot.

The Buccaneers don’t need to make any expensive moves to bring Ross to Tampa Bay, but his upside as a contributor should be far more tremendous than any concerns regarding his production if he lands with the right team.
