The NFL trade deadline is quickly approaching, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers could still afford to make several moves to bolster the roster.

The Buccaneers have one of the best rosters in the NFL. Even with great starters and good depth, Tampa Bay could still afford to make moves to improve for the future.

On the trade front, the Buccaneers have recently traded for Steve McLendon to provide some depth at nose tackle. This was the first trade of the season for the Buccaneers, but more could follow. The Bucs have their sights set as high as possible, and additional moves are how great teams continue to improve.

Making any trades at this point would be difficult for the Bucs but not impossible. Tampa Bay doesn’t have any glaring needs in the next draft, and draft picks have become less valuable than in prior years, with numerous players opting out of the strange college football season. The Bucs should be willing to make some aggressive moves because the window is closing to compete by the day.

On the other hand, the Bucs could still hold off on moving any draft picks, and they could opt for free agents instead. Tampa Bay has become a desirable free agent destination, and many players would be happy to wear pewter and red. Regardless of how they come in, Tampa Bay needs to focus on improvement.
