Tom Brady has no excuse to not be successful in Tampa Bay

Tom Brady apologists aren’t going to like this, but the truth is pretty simple: The GOAT has no excuse to not be successful with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Brady– a six-time Super Bowl winner who elected to sign a two-year deal with the Buccaneers earlier this offseason- has led Tampa to a 4-2 record in the first six games of the season.

Through those first six outings, Tom Brady has completed 64.1 percent of his passes for 1,541 yards and 14 touchdowns to four interceptions.

While he has looked good at times, there have also been moments where Brady has had difficulties getting the offense going. Although it’s certainly understandable for a new quarterback with a ton of new pieces to have some hiccups in the early stages of the season, there’s no reason that this Buccaneers team shouldn’t be a legitimate competitor and that all starts with Tom Brady.

Tom Brady has to lead the Bucs to the postseason

We’ve never seen this Bucs franchise sell out to a season like they’re doing currently. Tampa Bay kept all of its pieces from last year’s defense together and that is paying off in a big way. The Bucs currently have one of the league’s best front-sevens and the defensive backfield continues to impress with plenty of young and talented players.

When you combine that defense with an offense that has names like Chris Godwin, Mike Evans, Rob Gronkowski and Ronald Jones II, there should certainly be some fireworks flying.

But that’s not all.

The front-office made it a point of emphasis to add Leonard Fournette and Antonio Brown to the roster to give Brady even more weapons in the offense than what he already had. That shows us this is a franchise sold out to winning now.

Brady has an elite defense and the most playmakers he’s ever had on this roster. If he can’t win, there’s no excuse. It’s that plain and simple.
