Tampa Bay Buccaneers are set to take on the New York Giants on national television

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are set to take on the New York Giants live on Monday Night Football in a Week 8 that experts don’t expect to be all that close.

The Buccaneers and Giants are on separate trajectories heading into this nationally-televised matchup and, really, all eyes will be on Tampa Bay as it attempts to continue its winning ways and hold on to that top spot in the NFC South.

After much speculation and scrutiny coming into the season and throughout the first couple of weeks, Tom Brady is being praised by national media members for his past two performances and he has an opportunity to set the narrative even further in his favor with a good outing against the Giants.

One thing’s for sure, he’ll be favored by Vegas to do so.

Buccaneers are favored pretty heavily coming into the matchup with the Giants

The Buccaneers have opened as 10-point favorites over the Giants and trends look as if that number could increase as the week progresses and we get closer to kickoff.

Tampa Bay will be without star wide receiver Chris Godwin, who suffered a fracture in his left index finger, but the overarching belief is that the Bucs have too much talent and depth to lose on the road against a bad Giants team.

The Giants will come into this game dead-last in the NFC East Division with an overall record of 1-6. Interestingly enough, that division has been so bad this season, that the Giants- who have won just one game- still only sit two games back of the Philadelphia Eagles (2-4-1), who are the current leader in the division.

It will be interesting to see if the Buccaneers can cover that double-digit spread, but it certainly would seem that they have the means to do so.
