New York Giants

Another NFC East team rounds out this list in the New York Giants. The Giants are in second place in the race for Lawrence, and the smart money is on them making a few more moves before the deadline as well.

Both New York teams are in very rough situations, but the Bucs have already traded with the Jets this year, and the thought that another deal would come about seems unlikely at this juncture.

The Giants feel like they have been in a rebuild for a while. After drafting poorly, using resources ineffectively, and hiring some of the worst available coaches, a complete overhaul is needed in New York for this team to ever emerge from their slump.

Similar to Dallas, the Buccaneers could offload some players or take their pick of several that have a decent upside. Brate is still an option for the Giants, as surrounding Daniel Jones with as many sure-handed pass catchers as possible is a priority right now.

This could also mean inquiring about Evan Engram. Engram has been on a tough stretch recently and hasn’t lived up to his potential, but a change of scenery could be what it takes to bring Engram up to par relative to his talent. The Buccaneer tight end room could then be O.J. Howard, Engram, and Rob Gronkowski, which would still be the best trio at the position in the NFL at the cost of some cheaper draft pucks.
