It is only fitting that Jason Pierre-Paul left a spooky message for the New York Giants on the eve of Halloween before the upcoming matchup.

Trading for Jason Pierre-Paul was one of the best decisions by the current Buccaneer front office. JPP has been remarkably consistent when on the field and is a leader with experience on a team that desperately needs it.

After an impressive career with the New York Giants that included a Super Bowl victory, the Giants decided to move on from their long-time pass rusher, and Tampa Bay was happy to part with a third-round pick to make this happen.

Even with the strong start to his career considered, JPP’s time in Tampa Bay has been just as impressive as his time in New York on an individual level. Pierre-Paul defies his age and continues to put pressure on the quarterback, regardless of his matchups, and currently leads the Buccaneer defense in sacks.

In short, the Giants made a major mistake when they traded Pierre-Paul to Tampa Bay, and now it will come back to bite them.

This will be the first time that JPP plays against the Giants. Tampa Bay lost to the Giants in horrific fashion last season, but JPP was sidelined with a neck injury during that time (which he miraculously recovered from without losing a step). Judging by the comments that have been made, Pierre-Paul is very excited to face New York finally.

This quote, Tweeted out by Greg Auman, should have the entire Giants roster concerned.

“Coming for their necks,” JPP says. Does Daniel Jones need to fake an injury now? Pierre-Paul is already one of the most consistent pass rushers in the league, but displaying fire like this should lead to an incredible performance during a revenge game like this.

The Buccaneers aren’t strangers to revenge games. Shaquil Barrett played his best game of the season against his former team, the Denver Broncos, and came out with a season-high two sacks in the matchup. Bucs fans should expect something similar, if not more impressive, from JPP.

Barrett departed Denver as a free agent. Jason Pierre-Paul was traded, a move that numerous Giants fans publicly applauded. JPP is looking to make a statement during this game, and the smart money is on him succeeding.

As JPP continues to hone in on this matchup, it’s fitting that the New York Giants will be joining in on the Halloween spirit, although the monster that will terrorize them is very alive.
