Tampa Bay Buccaneers have bulletin board material for matchup with Saints

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are preparing for a monumental matchup against the New Orleans Saints and there’s no doubt that they’ll use every ounce of motivation to attempt to pick up the victory.

The Buccaneers are currently sitting at 6-2 through the first half of the season and they hold a 0.5-game lead over the Saints (5-2) in the race for the NFC South Division.

While there’s no denying the magnitude of this matchup, the Buccaneers will have a little bulletin material for their home matchup against New Orleans, courtesy of Saints DE Cam Jordan.

Following the Saints’ Week 1 win over the Buccaneers, Jordan spoke with the media and he was asked about how it felt to play a game with no fans in the stands. That’s when he delivered this little one-liner:

Don’t think the Buccaneers won’t use that little line as a motivation

Will Jordan’s quote have any effect on the game? No. But it is something for the players and fans to keep in mind as we get ready for the rivalry matchup.

The Bucs have taken a backseat to the Saints in the division for far too long and there’s been too many shots taken over the years in the direction of Tampa Bay.

Tom Brady and Co. finally have the means to do something about it.

Tampa finally has an opportunity to get the best of the Saints, not just in this game, but in the season. The Saints have been consistently at the top of the division for quite some time and the Bucs have consistently taken losses, many due to their own mistakes.

Here’s a chance to finally ‘right the ship’, no pun intended.
