As previously mentioned, Brown isn’t even in the top-three receiving targets for Brady at the moment. Even with Chris Godwin fighting injuries every week and likely out for the matchup with the Saints, Brady’s top-three options right now are Mike Evans, Scott Miller, and Rob Gronkowski.

Brown will be an exciting piece to watch over the coming weeks. At 31 years old, Brown is in the latter half of his career, but he should still be able to succeed in the NFL thanks to his extreme talent.

If Brown lives up to the massive expectations that are starting to form, he will be the best WR4 in NFL history. No team in the league has the personnel to cover him, Godwin, and Evans, and one All-Pro receiver should be open at any given point.

Brown also gives the Buccaneers the depth needed for a reliable run later in the season if injuries are worse than they appear. The offense is far different without Chris Godwin to take some pressure off, but Brown should be able to plug that hole nicely.

If Brady has the rapport with Brown that it seems like from the outside looking in, it won’t be long before Brown has the offense down and is back to torching defenses.

The biggest fear is that Brown will cause locker room issues, but Bucs fans shouldn’t fear this. Tampa Bay’s coaching staff, Tom Brady, and Lavonte David should have a very firm handle on the situation from day one. Cutting Brown for any reason related to character is already something that Arians has addressed.
