3 Buccaneers who underperformed in first half of 2020 season
Three Tampa Bay Buccaneers who have unperformed in the first half of the season
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have had their fair share of stars rise to the top, but there have been others who simply haven’t performed at their expected level.
The Buccaneers currently sit at 6-2 at the exact midpoint of the season and they are looking to hold on to a lead in the NFC South Division race against the New Orleans Saints.
As we look back at the first half of the 2020 season and begin to turn our eyes to the rest of the year, here’s a look at three Bucs who have underperformed and need to step up in the back-half.
Donovan Smith
Donovan Smith has actually played much better at the left tackle position over the course of the last few weeks and that can’t be denied.
But early on in the year, his play was about as abysmal as you could’ve imagined.
Smith has been ‘hit or miss’ at times during the first half of this season and there’s no doubt that he needs to take on a bigger role with more consistency as we progress through the months of November and December, and into the playoffs.
As we said earlier, Smith has shown promising signs and has turned it around as of late. Hopefully that will continue as the Buccaneers gear up for this playoff run.
