The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had some high expectations for the roster going into the 2020 NFL season, but these players have still impressed.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are one of the best teams in the NFL by a clear margin. The roster is as good as it has ever been, the coaching staff and front office are mostly making the right decisions, and players are performing at a renewed pace.

Everyone knew the Buccaneers would improve this year, but it was hard to imagine that they would become this good. Top-five in most statistical categories and rated as one of the best teams in most power rankings, the Bucs have finally regained some of the glory they achieved in the late 90s and early 2000s.

A large part of the Buccaneers’ success is drawn from individual performances that are better than initially advertised. Tampa Bay knew that it needed big performances from its key players, but the expectations weren’t as good as reality, which is often the case for great teams.

The Bucs will continue to rely on these performances all the way to the playoffs. If Tampa Bay wins four or five of their remaining games, they should finish well within the realm of making the playoffs, and this will be due to these players performing at a better-than-advertised level.
