Potential future Buccaneers playing in Florida-Georgia game
By Rob Leeds
The annual Florida-Georgia game is happening today, and the Buccaneers could have some future players performing in the storied matchup.
College football is at its best during rivalry games. Often, this is a week that sports fans look forward to for the entire season, but the Florida-Georgia game, also known as the “World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party” and an outlier from regular rivalry week, is one of the best. The entire football world, including the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, will watch this game closely.
Tampa Bay has already built something special with their roster for the first time in decades, but there is still room to grow. Even with the question marks surrounding the 2021 NFL Draft, the Buccaneers have to make sure that every pick counts.
Florida and Georgia are two of the best college football programs right now, and both rosters have no shortage of viable NFL talent. Scouts and draft analysts are licking their chops at the prospect of watching these two programs slug it out, as games like this are the best opportunity to determine how a player will perform at the next level.
While the Buccaneers haven’t spent as many picks at these two SEC powerhouses in recent years, it may be hard to overlook some of these young stars as future additions.
