2. The defense has been masters of turnovers

Despite the fact that the Bucs lost the turnover battle badly against the Saints, one of the major positives from this team has been the defense’s ability to create turnovers.

Even after the Saints debacle, the Buccaneers remain No. 5 in the league with a turnover differential of +5, tied with the Miami Dolphins. This defense has forced 11 interceptions, which is tied for a league-high and five fumbles.

There are still questions about this defense and how good it can end up being against elite competition, but there’s no doubt they know how to force turnovers.
