The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have started the 2020 NFL season at 6-3, but they still need players to step up down the stretch.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are going to need some incredible performances from their key players during the remainder of the season if they hope to make a run in the playoffs. Anything less than that could lead to some massive disappointment from the fanbase.

Outside of the regular contributors from the start to the season, the Bucs will need the following players to step up for the remainder of the season if they hope to end up in a decent spot.

  1. Antonio Brown

Antonio Brown could be the saving grace for a flailing Buccaneer offense. Tampa Bay has struggled to move the ball consistently against most of their competition so far this year.

Even with Mike Evans, Rob Gronkowski, and Chris Godwin on the roster, the Bucs have failed to emerge as the offensive powerhouse that was expected when Tom Brady signed with the team.

One of the reasons that could contribute to the lack of offensive success is Brady’s inability to build a solid rapport with his receivers. Mike Evans and Chris Godwin both have little shot of ending the season with 1,000 yards receiving, and Brady’s favorite target, Scotty Miller, fails to see the field during certain games.

While AB and Brady have played fewer games together than some of the other offensive weapons, a strong second half of the season for Brown could improve Brady’s production, which would bring Tampa Bay to the forefront of the league offensively.
