2. Dabo Swinney

Keep in mind we’re talking about ‘dream hires’ and this one should be about as far up the ladder as you can get.

I understand that many wouldn’t like a Dabo Swinney hire, but the truth of the matter is that he has built a Clemson football program- which had basically been nothing since the 1980s- and has turned it into a powerhouse.

He can coach much better than anyone gives him credit for and he simply just finds a way to have success. The breath of fresh air and enthusiasm that he would bring to this franchise would be contagious and there’s no doubt this would be a great hire.

The only question is if Swinney would ever leave Clemson to come to the NFL. Perhaps, if he won a couple more National Championships, he’d be more inclined to chase after another challenge and climb another mountain.
