If the season ended today, we would see the Bucs join two NFC West teams as the teams who fill the wild-card spots. But the season isn’t ending today.
The Chicago Bears are the team most dangerous to stealing the Bucs’ playoff bid and leaving them out of the postseason altogether.
The Bears are currently 5-5 and if the Bucs were to lose this weekend, the two teams would be tied (in terms of losses- though the Bucs would hold a 0.5-game lead) if Chicago beat Green Bay. Oh, and the Bears have the head-to-head tiebreaker if the two teams finished with the same record.

If there’s one team that Buccaneers fans should want to see lose this weekend- at least to make things a little less tight- it should be the Chicago Bears.
