Kylin Hill, Mississippi State

Kylin Hill has been a criminally underrated part of the Mississippi State offense for the last two seasons, and while his time with the Bulldogs has been cut short, his film more than proves that he would be excellent in the role that the Buccaneers require.

Hill is one of the more complete backs in this class, although his 2020 stats would not indicate as much. Hill had 23 receptions for Mike Leach‘s Bulldogs against a mere 15 rushes, but this is precisely what the Buccaneers need.

Tampa Bay does not need a player like Hill to come in and take 20 rushes a game. Ronald Jones has been above average as a runner this season, and the Bucs don’t need to replace their lead back.

Hill could still easily reach 5-10 rushes a game and do very well with these, as evidenced by his 2019 stats, but he would shine the most in the passing game. Hill averaged over 10 yards per reception over the past two seasons, has displayed sure hands, and looks confident in space.

If Tampa Bay doesn’t want to spend a premium pick on Etienne but wants a player to produce at a comparable level, Kylin Hill could be their man.
