The Tampa Bay Buccaneers could have their eyes set on this running back

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers need a running back who can make plays out of the backfield more than just running the football and there’s a perfect candidate for that in the upcoming 2021 NFL Draft.

While many Buccaneers fans may be against taking a running back early in the draft, Clemson RB Travis Etienne might be the exception to the rule.

Etienne has been making unreal plays at Clemson for the last four years and he is currently the all-time leader in touchdowns in the ACC. The thing is, though, the Buccaneers don’t just need a running back who is explosive carrying the football, they need a running back who can catch the ball and make plays out of the backfield.

That’s why Travis Etienne is the guy for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

For those that don’t keep up with College Football all that closely, Clemson is ranked No. 3 in the nation and the Tigers have looked like a team destined to get back to the CFB Playoff for a sixth-straight year.

That being said, they’ve had to do it in different ways than in the past.

The Tiger offensive line has struggled mightily at times to get a push and opposing defenses are selling out to stopping the run. How has Etienne adjusted? He has caught a career-high 37 passes for 491 yards and two receiving touchdowns.

He is just as big of a threat catching the ball out of the backfield as he is running the ball and that’s exactly what Tampa Bay needs.

If you put Etienne in this backfield with Tom Brady and keep your other options around him, your offense gets a lot more explosive.

Many continue to overlook Etienne, but I’ll go ahead and tell you this: He’s the most explosive play-maker in this draft class and would be a perfect fit for the Bucs’ offense.
