2. Defense fortifies its zone coverage

The Bucs’ defense has been solid all season long. As a matter of fact, they’ve been much better than advertised and they have kept the team in games that many didn’t think they would.

That being said, the biggest weakness among this defensive unit right now is in its coverage.

The Bucs have some cornerbacks who can play well in man coverage, but those safeties aren’t built for that. The result has been a soft zone coverage that quarterbacks have eaten alive- when they’re not under pressure.
