Predictions

Buccaneers 24 Vikings 21

The Buccaneers should win, but a blowout seems unlikely. If the Buccaneers are seven-point favorites, put your money on the Vikings to cover.

These are two above-average teams that are playing for their postseason lives at the moment. There shouldn’t be any blowouts, and this game could easily come down to the wire.

Since the Buccaneers are playing at home and have the more complete roster, they should be able to pull out the win, but the Vikings are a sneaky team.

Both of these teams have beaten the Packers, although the Bucs’ win was more convincing, and both teams have played the Bears close, so the schedule is not giving anything away yet.

The Buccaneers’ saving grace should be their depth across the field, but the coaching could become a problem. The Bucs have beaten themselves in several losses this season, and that generally comes from questionable decisions at the top.

The Buccaneers will need to play their best game of the season today if they hope to make it into the playoffs. The offense and the defense will need to carry their own weight. Minnesota is a complete team when everything clicks, and the Bucs can’t just rely on their offense or defense in a “playoff” game like today.

In just a few hours, Bucs fans will know if their team is finally on track to make it back to the playoffs, or our hopes will dissipate before our eyes again. Watch the game here and bite your nails with the rest of us! Breathe everyone, and Go Bucs!
