For the second time in team history, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the world champions after easily defeating the Kansas City Chiefs by a score of 31-9 in Super Bowl LV on Sunday night.

Heading into the matchup, most figured the Bucs were going to have a tough time stopping the firepower of the Chiefs offense. But once the game began, Tampa’s defense smothered the Kansas City offense all evening long.

On the other side of the ball, the Bucs offense didn’t have much trouble moving up and down the field against the Chiefs. Tampa found the end zone in three of their final four offensive drives of the first half and this is what ultimately resulted in them capturing the victory.

What are the Super Bowl LVI odds for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers?

Despite not having much trouble getting the win on Sunday, the Bucs actually are not the team with the best odds to win next season’s Super Bowl.

According to the FanDuel Sportsbook, Kansas City still has the top odds to win Super Bowl LVI at 49-to-10. Tampa ended up with the second-best odds at 19-to-2, followed by the Buffalo Bills and Green Bay Packers both having 11-to-1 odds.

With the Bucs not having the top odds to win next season’s Super Bowl, this means that the oddsmakers don’t believe in the team’s ability to maintain their success in 2021. This is a fair thought process to have since Tampa quarterback Tom Brady will be another year older and the team could lose a fair amount of contributors to free agency this offseason.

But, who is dumb enough to bet against Brady? The guy just went out and led a team to a Super Bowl win for the seventh time in his NFL career.

These are just the initial odds after Sunday’s game, so expect them to fluctuate throughout the 2021 offseason depending on where players land in free agency and the draft.
