Tom Brady: Ranking all 10 of the GOAT’s Super Bowl appearances

No. 6: Tom Brady’s fumble in Super Bowl LII leads to Eagles win
Unfortunately for Tom Brady, what ended up happening in Super Bowl LII between the Patriots and eventual-champion Philadelphia Eagles will forever center on two specific plays.
First, there was the “Philly Special” where quarterback Nick Foles hauled in a touchdown reception from tight end Trey Burton to make things 22-12 in favor of the Eagles just before halftime. Then second, Brady took a strip-sack fumble by Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham just before the two-minute warning in the second half.
That play forced New England to burn its remaining timeouts, and a subsequent Philadelphia field goal made it an eight-point Eagles lead with time running out awfully fast.
Not even a Brady Hail Mary pass with time expiring could save the day for the Pats.
But what fans may often forget about Brady’s third Super Bowl loss was just how good he was otherwise during the game. Against a stout Eagles defense, Brady still tossed for a Super Bowl-record 505 yards and a personal career-best mark in the Super Bowl for passer rating, 115.4.
Unfortunately for Brady and the Patriots, Foles took home the game’s MVP honors, while the Eagles won their first-ever Super Bowl with the 41-33 victory.
Still, those individual accolades from Brady are reasons enough to put this game high up on the list of all his Super Bowl appearances.
