Running Backs for the Buccaneers

Jaret Patterson, Buffalo

Patterson was one of the best running backs in college football in 2020, but a loaded class at the position is likely to push him to Day 3. He’ll remind a lot of people of Patriots running back James White, and that’s who he’ll need to model his game after for success in the NFL. He’d be a perfect fit for Tom Brady right away and a guy who can play in the league for a long time.

Chris Evans, Michigan

Evans is an ultra-talented player who comes with low-mileage, due to academic issues and a crowded backfield at Michigan. He’ll benefit from high-level coaching and the ability to focus everything on football as a professional. This is a guy we could be asking how or why so many people missed on him in a couple of years.

Elijah Mitchell, Louisiana

Mitchell is a guy who might had a chance to be a higher pick had he played for a higher-profile program. He’s built like an NFL back, and he was nothing but productive in college, scoring 46 touchdowns. He’s going to remind people of Jacksonville Jaguars running back James Robinson. He has that kind of potential, it’s just a matter of being given the opportunity.
