2021 NFL Draft: Picks 24-31
Big Ben is returning for another season, and the Steelers need to make sure they can keep him protected. The veteran Steeler offensive line needs some new blood, and the cheapest way to add to this is with a pick in the back half of the first round.
The Jaguars have to protect their rookie quarterback, which means they’ll want to invest a pick in a quality tackle before it’s too late.
If all things remain constant, the Browns don’t have many glaring needs going into 2021. One area that they struggled in was the off-ball linebacker department, and instead of spending a mountain of cash on a free agent, they can use a draft pick to find a consistent piece for the future.
The Ravens need to get some money out of their defense and move it to the offensive side of the ball, and a rookie like Rousseau will allow them more flexibility where they need it.
The Saints are stuck with the salary cap and will need to let some of their veterans go to make the numbers work in 2021. Newsome has the talent to replace a veteran in the secondary, which could save the Saints the most money when its all said and done.
If the Packers don’t want to draft Jordan Love’s replacement for the future, giving Aaron Rodgers his long-requested second receiver would be a great decision. The Packers don’t have many glaring needs on either side of the ball, and an explosive receiver like Toney at the end of the first round makes perfect sense.
The Bills don’t have a quality running back on their roster, and they need one that will fit their new scheme going forward. The Bills need a guy that can threaten the run while also being better in the passing game as a target for Josh Allen, and Etienne fits the bill.
Patrick Mahomes is still having nightmares about his recent trip to the Super Bowl. The Chiefs need to address a shrinking offensive line quickly if they want to keep Mahomes’ jersey clean in 2021.
