The third-best first-round draft pick for the Buccaneers by Jason Licht

Devin White, ILB, 2019

Devin White could end up having one of the best careers of the players on this list. The Bucs’ first-round pick in 2019 jumped out to a quick start in the NFL, and 2020 was more of the same.

With great stats during the regular season and fantastic postseason performances, White is gunning for the spot as the best Buccaneer linebacker of all time. While there is still plenty that has to happen before this is a possibility, White is off to a great start.

Alongside Lavonte David, White helps to form one of the best linebacker duos in the NFL right now. This pair is easily the best in Buccaneers history, and the diversity in their game allows the defense to dominate against the pass and the run.

White’s biggest issue right now is defending the pass, but his presence in the pass rush and versus the run with Lavonte David primarily dropping into coverage helps plenty.

White is young, raw, and still playing some of the best football on the Buccaneers right now. With a little refining, White could easily emerge as one of the top backers in the NFL. There has already been a painful Pro Bowl snub against White, and he will continue to prove the analysts wrong during the remainder of his career.
