Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Three reasons not to re-sign Antonio Brown

The draft is loaded at wide receiver.

Now, this probably isn’t exactly “breaking news” reporting, nor is the fact that the top-rated wide receivers will be snatched up well before it comes time for the Buccaneers to pick in the draft.

There is virtually a zero percent chance that the Bucs walk away from the draft with one of the Alabama Crimson Tide duo of Devonta Smith or Jaylen Waddle, or LSU’s Ja’Marr Chase, or even tight end/offensive weapon extraordinaire Kyle Pitts as their new toy for Brady to throw to.

The thing is though, the draft for receiver is much deeper than the highly publicized top of the board. Should the Bucs choose to go this route (pun intended), they have options.

The University of Minnesota’s Rashod Bateman, Elijah Moore of Ole Miss (who have been just churning out strong physical NFL receivers as of late), Chase’s teammate at LSU Terrace Marshall, and Rondale Moore of Purdue are all intriguing, and realistic, options for the Buccaneers at 32, or even day two of the draft. Replacing Antonio Brown with one of these prospects would simply be a luxury.

Then again, they may not even have to look far to replace AB…
