Demetric Felton – RB/WR, UCLA

With the 137th overall pick, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select Demetric Felton, an offensive weapon from UCLA.

Like we’ve said probably countless times at this point, the Buccaneers really have no “positions of need”. In the case of Felton, they can add a do-it-all offensive weapon to their arsenal to use however they really feel like. It’s the fifth round so really no harm no foul. If he happens to be there, the Buccaneers need to strike.

It would be as much of an example of a luxury pick that can be expected in the fifth round. Felton is a hybrid talent as both a runner and pass-catcher. He even has experience in the return game, so the Buccaneers would be counting their blessings to add a Swiss army knife in a packed to the brim toolbox. He really doesn’t have many “weaknesses” in his game, it’s just that his skills are a little raw for the NFL level.

Again, what perfect team for a raw player to hone his skills without much pressure? This could very well be the steal of the draft considering the quarterback and head coach Felton would have, no to mention the veteran presence in his position groups, of which there are many.
