The Buccaneers have a lot of new faces to watch in training camp.

The Buccaneers are sitting on top of the world right now. After winning the Super Bowl with a very young roster, the team has only gotten better so far this offseason through their addition of depth.

While most other teams would use these opportunities to find starters in free agency or the draft, the Bucs were able to use all of these roster moves to build depth. They’ll already have all 22 of their starters from their Super Bowl run on their roster, so every new addition will serve in a much-needed reserve capacity.

As OTAs are coming to a close and training camp inches closer, the following Buccaneers stand to make the biggest splash during the comings months.

Player #1

Giovani Bernard

Bernard is a no-brainer to sit alone atop this list. The Bucs had a glaring need with their third-down back in 2020, and while Tom Brady and the offense were able to overcome this deficiency, the arrival of a player like Bernard will pay off immediately.

In addition to a great body of work over his career with the Bengals, Benard is already showing a work ethic that will resonate positively with the coaching staff, fanbase, and other players. Bernard is participating in OTAs with the rookies and the veteran workouts with Tom Brady and the other starters from last season, and this indicates that Bernard is putting in all the work possible to find success in year one.

Based on the position, experience, and personality, Bernard will become a fan favorite in Tampa very quickly, and all of that will start to pick up more speed during training camp.
