Tom Brady lands Subway deal, but has never been inside
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady has landed an endorsement deal with Subway, despite the fact that he’s never stepped foot in one.
Subway is one of the more recognizable food brands in America, certainly the biggest name in sandwiches. Tom Brady is one of, if not the most recognizable athletes in sports, so naturally the two coming together would seem like a no-brainer right? Here’s the thing though. The reason the 43-year-old GOAT of a quarterback has been able to do what he does at the age he is can be credited to his pitch-perfect diet.
This being the case, Brady has never stepped foot in a Subway, and likely never will. At least not to eat. Surely Subway can film some sort of commercial inside of a location. Of course seeing that there is no lengths Brady won’t go to prove a point, perhaps an elaborate set can be built.
Speaking of Brady making a point, he made sure he did so in the “Brady vs. Belichick” quasi-battle that rages on in football fans’ heads as to who was more crucial to the New England Patriots dynasty by winning Super Bowl LV with the Buccaneers, his very first year without Bill Belichick.
Naturally, people are making the connection that Belichick landed a Subway endorsement deal a season ago, and now Brady is doing the same. There may be some sort of connection, but it’s highly doubtful Brady did so because of Belichick. Besides, in Belichick’s commercial he was seen eating a Subway sandwich. It’s pretty safe to assume Brady won’t be doing the same in his.
At the end of the day, this has nothing to do with football. However, ever since Brady left New England and joined the Bucs, his shenanigans have been a hoot to follow along to. This is just one of many in the fascinating life of Tom Brady as he continues to Benjamin Button his way through life.
