The Buccaneers will finally win the NFC South
Gone are the days of sneaking into the playoffs as a wildcard under Tom Brady. The Bucs had their best regular season in years in 2020, but even that wasn’t enough to win the NFC South.
While none of us care about that as much as winning the Super Bowl, 2021 should be a massive shift in the power dynamic of the division.
If the Buccaneers were able to make it to the Super Bowl and win as a wildcard, imagine how much easier that prospect becomes when they win their division and potentially lock up an easier path through the playoffs with home-field advantage.
With the Saints losing Drew Brees and half of their roster to the salary cap, the Falcons unable to decide between going all-in now or for the future, and the Panthers still being a few seasons away from being competitive again, there isn’t a team in the division that should be able to give the Bucs a run for their money this season.
While the Buccaneers had the talent last season to win the division, they are currently in a position where anything contrary to that would be a disappointment.
None of us would be too upset if they win the Super Bowl as a wildcard team again, but the division was the only thing the Bucs didn’t win last season, and 2021 offers them a chance to go for the clean sweep.
