The Buccaneers are finally building depth at running back

Ke’Shawn Vaughn

Fans may roll their eyes at the frequency that Vaughn is mentioned, but he has the potential to be the most exciting player on the roster during the preseason.

Vaughn had a lot of improving to do before he would be able to earn a more significant role during the regular season, and that looks like exactly what he did.

With better hands and confidence running the football, Vaughn is starting to look like a more NFL-ready version of himself from college, which is exactly what the Buccaneers need to round out their running back room.

With the nature of the preseason and the roster fighting for a chance to prove themselves, Vaughn is only adding to his stock as the RB1 during the coming weeks as Bruce Arians and the rest of the staff try to determine if their third-round pick from last season will pan out.

Vaughn still has plenty of growing to do and will have an excellent opportunity to do this in a veteran running back room in 2021, but the catches he has made so far in camp do plenty to show that Ke’Shawn Vaughn is taking his game to the next level for this upcoming season.
