Number Three – The Defense

That’s right the defense is ranked ahead of Brady. Do you hear that Tom? It’d be a real shame if this fueled the eternal flame that is your internal fire.

Anyway, let’s talk about the defense of the Buccaneers. Simply put, this unit is absolutely loaded. They will come into the 2021 season with the entire starting lineup back (in case you haven’t heard) and all 19 players who played at least 59 defensive snaps.

Defenses aren’t exactly the “glamour” position when it comes to fantasy football. In fact, more and more leagues are abandoning the option to choose defenses altogether in favor of an extra flex spot. That is one of the main reasons the Bucs’ defense isn’t higher on this list.

If you are in a fantasy league with defenses, you can’t do much better than the Buccaneers. Defenses give fantasy owners points by recording sacks, forcing turnovers, and not allowing too many yards or points. Luckily, the Buccaneers just so happen to excel at all of those facets of defense, as proven to the world during their romp in Super Bowl LV. You’d be hard-pressed to find a better unit in football both in reality and in fantasy.
