The Buccaneers are looking to add a win to their 0-1 record in the preseason, but player development is still the primary concern.
After a quick week and a few heated practices against the Titans, the Buccaneers are back to see which new depth players will step up to round out the final 53-man roster.
We already know the starters won’t get much time tonight, with this being the limbo period before the start of the season, and Bruce Arians is making the smart decision to prioritize developing players above winning meaningless games.
The Bucs may already have a good idea of what their final roster will look like, but there is still plenty players can do to secure sports on roles on one of the best teams in the league.
Player #1
Joe Tryon-Shoyinka
This has been a huge week for the Buccaneer first-round pick. Tryon-Shoyinka was already a massive story in the news cycle after a monster sack and a terrible penalty in his NFL debut, and he has a chance to build on the hype this week.
With Shaquil Barrett and Jason Pierre-Paul likely off the field for most of the game again, Tryon should hopefully get close to a half of the game to show off his skill set.
The Bucs may already know what they have in their rookie, but it’ll be fun to show off their new talent and get one of their new players as ready for week one as possible.
