Jameis Winston may not play for the Buccaneers any longer, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t ways for him to help his old team.

It would be difficult to find any Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan who does not fondly remember the emotional rollercoaster that was a game with Jameis Winston as your starting quarterback. Few quarterbacks possess the uncanny ability of Winston to take easy wins and somehow turn them into thrilling nail biters.

While others QBs spend years trying to learn this talent, the case could be made that Winston has more natural ability at turning the ball over more than any other QB in NFL history

After the years of emotional trauma brought to Bucs fans courtesy of Winston’s uncanny accuracy when throwing to safeties and cornerbacks, this may just be the year that the Bucs are on the receiving end of a Winston pass, something Saints receivers probably shouldn’t rely on.

With at least two games guaranteed against the Saints this season, and Winston as the current starter for the Saints, players like Buccaneers cornerback Carlton Davis, who led the team in interceptions last year, should be preparing for career years.

Even defensive lineman like Jason Pierre-Paul, who had two interceptions last year, could probably easily double that playing the Saints twice this year.

Say what you want about Taysom Hill, but it’s only a matter of time until Sean Payton finds out that running the ball every play will give his team a far better chance of winning than letting Winston throw the ball.

Time will have to tell, but it would seem that the smart money would be that Winston tries to one-up his historic 33TD, 30INT season, which should give the Bucs plenty of room to dominate the division.
