The Buccaneers find their heir to Ndamukong Suh

Jordan Davis, IDL, Georgia

Davis may look like Vita Vea physically, but a bit of slimming down could make him a dominant interior lineman to pair alongside the best defensive line in the NFL.

Suh may still play at a high level in 2021 after a remarkable 2020 campaign, but the Bucs will reach a point where they have to start looking to address their line again very soon. Suh isn’t cheap, and while he has been a huge part of this defense’s resurgence in recent years, the Buccaneers would be wise to at least add another depth player to compete for the role down the road.

Davis has the size, production, and college career to emerge as one of the best linemen in the class. A few great games against teams like Clemson could propel him all the way up to fringe first-round status, and this game will be a perfect way to figure out where Davis is going into the most important season of his career.

Tampa may still not have too many needs after hopefully having another great year in 2021, but focusing on the defensive line is far from a bad idea when that group has done so well to turn things around for the franchise.

Clemson is not going to have fun trying to contain Jordan Davis.
