On September 22nd, the Pro Football Hall of Fame has announced the 122 modern-era nominees for enshrinement in 2022, including ten former Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Some of them spent most, if not all of their careers with the Buccaneers, others only for a cup of coffee.

John Lynch was inducted a few months ago, and he joined his former teammates Derrick Brooks, and Warren Sapp, along with one of his former head coaches in Tony Dungy in Canton. They may not technically be Bucs “lifers” like fellow Hall of Famer Lee Roy Selmon but are known primarily as Buccaneers to football fans.

The other former Buccaneers in the Hall of Fame who may not be known for their time in Tampa Bay, or were only here for short time are Randall McDaniel, Tim Brown, Ron Wolf, and of course Steve Young.

Dungy may have built the 2002 Super Bowl team that featured Brooks, Sapp, and Lynch, but he wasn’t there to cross the finish line. Speaking of which there have been many fans calling out for more members of that legendary defense who should get the call to the Hall, which we will get to.

With that said, let’s take a look at the ten former Buccaneers up for enshrinement who could possibly join these other former Bucs in Canton in 2022.
