The Buccaneers need to get Tyler Johnson more playing time

The passing game hasn’t been much of a problem for the Buccaneers in 2021. The Week 4 matchup against the Patriots has been the outlier. Drops and other water-based miscues shouldn’t plague the offense too much this season, but there are always opportunities to make your best unit even stronger.

One player that needs more playing time in Tampa is receiver Tyler Johnson. This move isn’t predicated on the need to take snaps away from the three starters, but it would create the need for more empty seats to get four receivers on the field.

Johnson hasn’t played a huge role in the season so far, but his performance in the Week 3 loss to the Rams showed just how much Brady trusts him.

Three catches for 63 yards, most of which came on one drive, says everything you need to know about what Brady and Johnson can do once they get going. Brady clearly trusts his young receiver, and getting him on the field for more snaps should lead to even greater offensive efficiency.

Buccaneers can save their season with huge signing in free agency. light. Trending
