Tampa Bay Buccaneers: ‘Twas the month before playoffs
It’s just that time of the year where we can’t help but feel festive about the Buccaneers.
‘Tis early December
and all throughout the league,
the Bucs are stacking wins
like you wouldn’t believe.
They’re winning at home.
They’re winning away.
These jolly ol’ Bucs
are winning every which way.
Their coaches keep scheming,
their defense is stout,
and with their offense ranked 1st,
it’s often a rout.
Some wins are shiny,
glimmering clean,
some wins are dirty,
gritty and mean.
They’re winning defensively.
They’re breaking up passes.
They’re sacking QBs
when that’s what the task is.
They’re stuffing the run.
They’re collapsing the pocket.
They’re setting the edge
and no one can stop it.
It’s Lavonte and Devin.
It’s Vita and Suh.
It’s Gholston, JPP and
the Gravediggers too!
But you can’t talk Bucs
without risking a few biscuits,
or waxing about their
“embarrassment of riches.”
They’ll beat you run heavy.
They’ll shred you by air.
With so many weapons,
it’s almost unfair.
It’s Tommy to Godwin.
It’s Tommy to Brate.
It’s Tommy throwin’ Gronk open
before it’s too late.
It’s Tommy hitting Evans in stride
in a last second thriller,
it’s Tommy going over to the top
to find Scotty Miller.
Sometimes it’s Lenny
or Gio or Rojo,
crushing defenders
with all of their mojo.
It’s all of Tampa
singing the praises
of their dominant O-Line
and the hell that it raises.
It’s this Buc and that Buc
all working together,
it’s playing smart football
and still getting better.
It’s Raymond James stadium
welcoming the best fans in.
It’s December football
so Fire the Cannons!!!
