The Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 31-15 last weekend in the NFL wild-card round. The fans were incredible and were absolutely a factor, especially when the Eagles were on offense. Bucs fans; we need that energy, passion, and the home-field advantage that has been built all season.

A ten-point loss to LA earlier in the regular season does not mean anything now. The Rams went all-in this season, constructing their roster. Super Bowl or bust, essentially. Tampa Bay is the defending Super Bowl champion and is looking to become a special team that wins back-to-back Super Bowls.

Both teams are battling key injuries at vital positions. Both teams’ offenses were rolling last weekend. The defenses for both teams are playing very well. Both teams have injuries on the offensive line and key wide receivers who are done for the season due to injuries. These two teams are very evenly matched as far as talent and matchups go.

I’m curious to see the coaching game plans. Two of the best NFL head coaches, offensive coordinators, and defensive coordinators will be going up against each other today. The in-game adjustments will be critical.

The last time the Bucs faced the Rams, I wrote the scoreboard might malfunction. These teams both have the personnel to put up lots of points, but also have defenses that can prevent high scoring from happening. I think the game will be a bit more defensive this go around.

The Bucs and Rams have met 27 times, including twice in the postseason, and the Rams lead the series 18-9. Both postseason matchups were in the NFC conference finals in the 1979, 1999 playoffs. The Rams won both matchups. Tampa Bay can make some more history this weekend by defeating the Rams for the first time in the NFL postseason!

All right, Buccaneers fans, the NFL divisional round is upon us. Tampa Bay will host the rival LA Rams at 3:00 PM EST Sunday, January 23, 2022. The game can be seen on NBC. Enjoy the game and go Bucs!
