Tom Brady is absolutely right about Buccaneers teammate

Tom Brady knows better than most what a great wide receiver looks like.

If there is someone currently in the NFL that knows wide receiver better than Tom Brady, we’d really like to meet them.

Between playing alongside some of the best pass-catchers in the modern NFL to elevating guys at the position far beyond their talents and initial capabilities, Brady’s expertise on the subject means that people should listen when he talks.

Not that this should be a surprise for Buccaneers fans after the last eight seasons, but Brady sees Mike Evans as one of the “all-time greats” at the position.

Again, no part of this should surprise Bucs fans.

Other than Tom Brady, no offensive player in the history of the franchise has been more important. Brady obviously sets a pretty high standard based on the position he plays, but Evans makes a compelling case as best offensive player in franchise history despite all of the turmoil he has faced during his career.

It didn’t matter how many quarterbacks, coaches, and supporting members came in and out; Mike Evans has been one of the only consistent pieces on this roster since his arrival. Even Tom Brady played around with the idea of retirement.

To add on to the legacy of Evans, his off the field character is another thing that Brady has a front-row seat to and has likely influenced the way he sees his teammate. There aren’t a lot of guys in the NFL that would’ve even stayed in Tampa for as long as Evans have, and even fewer would be willing to restructure their deals as often as Evans has for the sake of his teammates.

Tom Brady recognizes it. The rest of the NFL should as well. Mike Evans is on a path to making it in the Hall of Fame, and it is time to appreciate this legacy while we have a chance to see it grow in real time.
