What is happening with the Buccaneers in the media?

The Buccaneers have been the center of a very strange offseason so far. It seems like everyone has a different take on the strange events from the past few months.

As Buccaneers fans, we are used to being in the media after two years of Tom Brady being the quarterback.

It is quite obvious that the national media and the NFL hate having Brady as the face of the small market Bucs, but who cares. A Super Bowl win and a snubbed MVP are nothing to fully turn your nose at.

Still, the Bucs have been in the media a bit more than usual over the past few months, with most reports (if that is what we can call them) detailing Brady and his attempted offseason moves during his “retirement.”

According to national sources such as Chris Simms and Mike Florio, Brady was attempting a move to the Dolphins to play and serve as a partial owner.

On the other end, trusted Bucs sources such as Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times has information that directly contradicts these reports.

Both sides are calling out the other for faulty/flawed information, often online or in a public manner.

The whole situation is a mess, and it leaves Buccaneers fans in a strange sport where they wonder who to trust and how to handle a media cycle that is obviously gaining extra traction due to a lack of other relevant news.

Sadly, it looks all the more likely that we will never get an actual answer as to what is actually going on. Perhaps Brady will address it down the road after he has officially retired, and that seems like the only way to get legitimate closure on this subject.

Regardless, Buccaneers fans can just be happy that Tom Brady is officially back and puts the team in the best position possible to win a Super Bowl.
