Though it would for be difficult for Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady to do more for the franchise than he already has, the future Hall of Famer still continues to impress with his performance both on and off the field.
While winning a Super Bowl would be enough for many other players around the league, Brady has made it very clear every year since that he has no intention of resting on his laurels just because he can.
That is why it’s being reported now that Brady has spent the weekend restructuring his current contract with the Bucs to free up an additional $9 million of cap space for the team this season.

Brady knows how difficult it is to win a Super Bowl in this league and it would seem he has no intention of not doing everything in his power to ensure that the team this year is more talented and has more depth than last year’s.
An additional $9 million can free up the Bucs to pursue more defensive talent, especially in the secondary where the team has notoriously struggled over the past two seasons.
Or, the Bucs could go a different direction and use the money to re-sign past players such as tight-end Rob Gronkowski or defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh.
Brady is a free agent after the end of this season and considering money is far from an issue for the QB, he is definitely doing this in the hopes it will get him to one more championship.
Brady also knows that after this season, if he wants to continue playing, he will be a free agent and will undoubtedly acquire a lucrative deal if he so chooses it.
Regardless of whichever way the Bucs choose to use the extra cap space, it provides the team with more options to improve the team than they had last week, and that is always a good thing for a team on the hunt for another ring.
