The Buccaneers have been waiting on Rob Gronkowski to announce his intentions for the future for weeks now. It looks like we finally have a (half) answer.
Rob Gronkowski is the king of living life and having fun, sometimes at the expense of someone else. It just so happens that the greatest tight end of all time and Buccaneers star is a comedian. Sometimes it can be hard to decipher where true intentions lie and where the jokes start.
It does legitimately seem like Gronk wants to be back in Tampa. The workout videos and the presence of Tom Brady sure do make it seem like this is a real possibility, but waiting so long to return is a cause for some concern.
Still, Gronk decided to lay out one way for the Buccaneers to get him back; signing wide receiver Julian Edelman.

Before anyone goes crazy, the most likely future here is that Edelman does not sign and Gronk returns either way. This seems to be the comedian putting some pressure on his friend after Edelman himself already spends plenty of time joking about the topic, but crazier things have happened in the past.
Even though most of us can see through the joke, one has to wonder what the Bucs would look like with Brady, Gronk, and Edelman participating in a Super Bowl run.
It would sure piss off a bunch of Patriots fans.
You have to admit; the need is still there for the Bucs. The wide receiver depth is shaky at best, and giving Tom Brady one of his favorite targets of all time during what could be his final season is a great way to ensure this team stays on the right path.
Maybe Gronk is just trying to up the star power in Tampa. But on a much more realistic note, Gronk is likely just messing around with his friend.
