The good and the bad of the Buccaneers schedule release

All eyes on the Buccaneers in 2022
Good: All Eyes on Us
Once again, the Brady effect and the Buccaneers’ recent success have secured Tampa Bay plenty of time in the spotlight. The Bucs are scheduled to participate in an NFL-most five primetime games in 2022. For a franchise that has spent so long condemned to afternoon games and Thursday night laughers, this is still a big deal.
The Bucs open with a Sunday Night Football game against Dallas, adding two more SNF contests in Week 4 (vs Chiefs) and Week 16 on Christmas (@ Cardinals). There is also a Thursday Night Football game Week 8 against the Ravens, and a Monday Night Football game Week 13 against the Saints. And, though it doesn’t technically fall under the umbrella of a prime-time game, the Bucs were also awarded the honor of being thefirst host of an NFL game in Germany (Week 10 vs Seahawks).
The Buccaneers get to be one of the premier draws for the NFL, and Bucs fans get to see the red and pewter under the brightest lights. What’s not to love about that?
After the years we have gone through, getting a chance to play against some of the best talent in the NFL week-in and week-out in primetime games is a breath of fresh air. As long as the team can find a way to stand tall against their best opponents, the team should have a great chance at going into the playoffs as one of the best teams in the league.
